Established in 1868 in close vicinity to the splendid castle of Beloeil, Castle Malting® is the oldest malting company in Belgium and one of the oldest malt producers in the world, renowned for its individuality, as well as for its uncompromising standards of malt quality.

 

Cherishing the centuries-old Belgian malting traditions and introducing bold, innovative policies, the Castle Malting® management and team have succeeded to create a truly unique company able to respond to customers’ demands of any kind – from those of a homebrewer to the customized requirements of craft and industrial breweries. 

Just as our ancestors did in the past, we carefully select the most suitable barley varieties for each type of malt, profiting by our advantageous geographical position (with France, the Netherlands, England and Germany at our doorstep) and sourcing our raw materials from the best malting barley-growing regions in Europe. 

The combination of our traditional nine-day malting process, the use of state of the art equipment and the 100% traceability from the barley fields up to the shipping pallet is the best guarantee of the premium quality of our malts. 

We offer a full range of malts for any type of beer or whisky a creative brewer or distiller may think of: more than 80 types of base and specialty malts - from the palest to the darkest kind – from barley, wheat, and other cereals. We produce standard base and specialty malts, customized base and specialty malts as per the customer’s specifications, as well as a full range of organic malts. We also offer peated malts in complete range of phenol intensities for brewing and distilling. 

The revolutionary malt roasting technology developed and implemented by our company enables us to supply you a full selection of caramel and roasted malts with exceptional taste and aroma properties. 

Today, besides enjoying an excellent reputation among the demanding Belgian brewing community, the Château malts by Castle Malting® are successfully exported to more than 2700 brewers in 146 countries worldwide. 

Malt is shipped to our customers around the world in various types of packaging. Our proximity to the port of Antwerp, the leading harbour for malt export, and the collaboration with a large number of transport companies allow us to attain the most attractive shipping rates to each destination. 

Moreover, as an additional service to our customers, we supply a full range of other beer and whisky ingredients, which can be delivered together with the malt ordered and thus at no additional transport costs. 

Free technical support and counselling from Belgian brewing experts, as well as assistance in creating and testing new beer recipes are provided to all our customers.
